A New York City police officer was convicted Tuesday of charges he plotted to kidnap and cook women to dine on their “girl meat”.
However New York police officer Gilberto Valle’s lawyers argued the former police officer’s e-mails and online postings were just “fantasy role-play” and”dark improv theater,” but prosecutors said he was “deadly serious.”
A federal jury decided Valle conspired to kidnap women, who prosecutors argued he planned to rape, torture, cook and eat.
Prosecutors said Valle – dubbed the “cannibal cop” by the tabloid media – crossed the line from fantasy to reality in taking specific action conspiring to kidnap women.
A document found on his wife’s laptop was titled “Abducting and Cooking Kimberly — A Blueprint.” It included a photograph of Kimberly Sauer and personal information, including her bra size and shoe size.
Valle faces up to life in prison on the charge of conspiracy to kidnap and up to five years in prison for the database breach but his defense attorney, Julia Gatto, countered that her client was merely engaged in fantasy role-play online.
The trial opened a window on strange online underworld where people share sick and twisted fantasies of torture, murder, dismemberment and cannibalism.
