ALP commander among 7 killed in Ghazni suicide attack

AfghanistanAccording to local authorities in eastern Ghazni province of Afghanistan, at least seven including Afghan Local Police (ALP) commander and their three body guards were killed following a suicide bomb attack in this province.

The officials further added that Dawlat Khan, commander of the Afghan Local Police (ALP) was killed along with along with his three body guards following the attack which took place late Friday evening in Qara Bagh district.

Deputy provincial governor of Ghazni province Mohammad Ali Ahmadi confirming the report said the incident took place around 6:00pm local time on Friday after a suicide bomber detonated explosives packed in a motorcycle near the vehicle of Dawlat Khan.

Mr. Ahmadi further added that three civilians were also killed and seven others were injured following the attack.

Dawlat Khan was a prominent commander of the Afghan Local Police (ALP) in eastern Ghazni province who was leading a group of 50 local police officers.

No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.

  1. This is a tragedy for Qara Bagh district. Dawlat Khan had big hopes for his district. These murderers need to kill themselves instead of good people trying to change Afghanistan for the better. Rest in peace, Mr. Khan.
