All government employees will get paid, money transfer allowed: Taliban

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan said that they have partly or/and completely paid salaries of five ministries namely education, higher education, public health, finance, and the central bank.

The officials said that they are working to pay on a mechanism based on which they will pay the salaries of all the government employees.

Speaking in a press conference in Kabul on Wednesday, September 29 deputy Prime Minister Abdul Salaam Hanafi said that they have established an exclusive commission to address the looming humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

Abdul Salaam Hanafi said that the commission has allowed all the private banks in Afghanistan to conduct money transfers in order for the traders to access their money and import food ingredients and medicine.

“We have created this exclusive commission so that we address the ongoing economic problem, a spike in prices, and preparation for the upcoming winter season.” Said Hanafi.

The deputy Prime Minister said that they will leave the customs of the country 24-hour open and will fight against the mafia that does not allow imports into Afghanistan.

Abdul Salaam Hanafi also called on the US to release the assets of Afghanistan because the money belongs to the people of Afghanistan not to any government.
