At least 27 Taliban militants were killed during the latest airstrikes which were carried out in six different provinces in the past 24 hours.

According to informed military sources, airstrikes in Arghanj Khwah district of Badakhshan killed 10 Taliban fighters and wounded 3 others.

The sources further added that the Afghan National Army soldiers and Commandos recaptured 2 checkpoints and are conducting operations to clear Taliban fighters out of Arghanj Khwah district.

An airstrike in Bermal district Paktia province killed 1 Taliban fighter while 2 others were killed in a similar airstrike in Muqor district of Ghazni province.

The sources also added that an airstrike in Pul-e-Alam district of Logar province killed 2 Taliban fighters.

Airstrikes were also carried out in Tarin Kot district of Uruzgan province during the same period which left 9 Taliban fighters dead and another militant wounded, the sources said, adding that an airstrike in Musa Qal’ah district of Helmand province killed 3 Taliban fighters.
