The security forces conducted airstrikes in Khogyani and Geru districts of Ghazni province killing or wounding at least 23 militants.

The Ministry of Defense in a statement said the security forces conducted the airstrikes late on Sunday night.

The statement further added that the airstrikes targeted the militants of Mullah Cable and Daru Khan, the two commanders of Taliban.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense said the airstrikes killed 9 Taliban militants and wounded 14 others.

The Taliban group has not commented regarding the airstrikes so far.
