A series of airstrikes in five provinces killed at least 48 Taliban militants and destroyed multiple a cache of weapons.

The military officials said Saturday an airstrike in Chimtal district of Balkh killed 12 Taliban militants and destroyed a cache of weapons.

The officials further added that a similar airstrike in Dara-ye-Suf-e Pa’in of Samangan killed 10 Taliban militants.

Furthermore, the security forces conducted airstrikes in Khas Uruzgan district of Uruzgan province killing 10 Taliban militants and wounding another militant.

An airstrike in Dzadran district of Paktiya killed 8 Taliban militants, the officials said, adding that a similar air raid in Pashtun-Kot district of Faryab killed 8 Taliban militants.
