Airstrikes kill 4 Taliban militants in 2 districts of Wardak province

The security forces killed 4 Taliban militants during separate airstrikes in Wardak province.

The informed military officials said Tuesday that an airstrike killed 2 Taliban fighters in Sayyidabad district of Wardak province.

Furthermore, the security forces conducted an airstrike in Maidan Shahr district of Wardak and killed 2 Taliban militants.

The Taliban militants have not commented regarding the airstrikes so far.

The security situation in Wardak province has deteriorated during the recent months.

Taliban militants are active in some districts of the province and often conduct terrorist related activities.

Meanwhile, the Afghan forces routinely conduct counter-terrorism operations against the anti-government armed groups in this province.

The U.S. forces also conduct regular airstrikes in restive parts of the country to suppress Taliban and other anti-government militants.
