Hamdullah Arbab, the country’s leading painter and commissioner of the Access to Information Commission, survived an explosion in Kabul Sunday morning.

The magnetic bomb struck shortly this morning when Arabab was on his way to work in Hewadwal residential Town.

Hamdullah Arbab told Khaama Press that he and his son are safe, but his driver was injured and is being treated at a hospital.

Meanwhile, Kabul police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz confirmed the incident and said that two people were injured in the blast but their identities were not yet known.
