Afghanistan under-14 years football team defeated Iran’s team by 1-0 in a match organized in Dushanbe Tajikistan on Friday.
There has been a 1-week football matched organized for the youths from Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
The next match of Afghanistan will be against Turkmenistan on Monday.
Afghanistan’s sport had a tremendous growth in the last 20 years of democracy era and the country’s sports team played at international grounds and stages brining considerable achievements home.
The national cricket team of Afghanistan has done great during its 20 years age, playing serious games against world’s top cricket teams.
Political instability and economic crisis have apparently affected Afghanistan’s sports sector as well.
This comes as Afghanistan’s republic administration collapsed last year as the country’s former President fled with no further notice.
