Afghanistan wins final ODI, seal series 4-1 against Zimbabwe

The Afghanistan national cricket team defeated Zimbabwe by 149 runs during the fifth and final match of the bilateral One Day International (ODI) series.

Afghanistan elected to bat first in the final match by winning the toss and set a target of 241 runs from 50 overs.

The Afghan team lost 9 wickets with Javed Ahmadi scoring the highest runs by making 76 runs from 87 balls. He hit 6 Fours and 2 Sixes.

Rahmat Shah also performed well and scored 59 runs from 75 runs while Rashid Khan scored 43 runs from 29 balls and Sharafuddin Ashraf scored 21 runs.

The Zimbabwe batsmen could not chase the given target and lost all their wickets by scoring 95 runs from 32 overs.

on the bowling side, Rashid Khan once again performed well and took 3 wickets from 5.1 overs.

Sharafuddin Ashraf and Mohammad Nabi took 2 wickets each while Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Shahpoor also took one wicket each on the bowling side.

Rashid Khan was elected as the Player of the Series while Sharafuddin Ashraf was elected the Player of the Match.
