Afghanistan set a target of 263 runs from 49.3 overs after losing the toss to Nepal, with Usman Ghani and Hashmatullah Shaidi making half centuries each.

Nowroz Ali Zadran made 43 runs from 59 overs, while Nasir Ahmadzai scored 20 runs, Samiullah Whenwari 18 runs, Mohammad Nabi 34 runs, Shafiqullah 21 runs, Dawlat Zadran 4 runs, Amir Hamzra 7 runs and Mirwais Ashraf remained not out after making 4 runs.

The target for Nepal was revised to 237 runs from 32 overs as per the Duckworth–Lewis method D/L method due to the rain which briefly stopped the match.

On the bowling side, Dawlat Zadran took 4 wickets, Mirwais Ashraf took 2 wickets and Amir Hamza and Mohammad Nabi took one wicket each to restrict the Nepal team to 128 runs from 32 overs by losing nine wickets.

The Afghanistan cricket board (ACB) chief executive Dr. Noor Mohammad Murad congratulated the Afghan nation for the major victory of the Afghanistan cricket team in Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Premier League.

Dr. Murad hailed the Afghan cricket team for successful planning which led to a major victory for the Afghan nation.

The Afghanistan cricket board (ACB) following a statement said the Afghan cricket team will return back to Afghanistan.
