Afghanistan urges China to support the Afghan Air Force

During a meeting with Fang Fenghui, chief of China’s People’s Liberation Army, the National Security Adviser, Hanif Atmar, requested Beijing’s support to Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF).
The Office of the National Security Adviser said Mr. Atmar requested Mr. Fenghui to provide the Afghan forces with military aids, including transport and logistics planes, mobile radards, military uniform, etc.
Hailing China for its unconditional support to Afghanistan in the past 13 years, Mr. Atmar said the Afghan government remains committed and willing to work together with China for securig mutual and regional benefits.
He welcomed the proposal by Mr. Fenghui regarding the formation of a joint coordination mechanism by Afghanistan, China, Tajikistan and Pakistan armies.
Mr. Atmar also added that Afghanistan is optimistic to Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG) meetings on Afghan peace process.
Meanwhile, Mr. Fenghui reaffirmed his country’s commitment to support Afghanistan and promised Chian will discuss and consider Afghanistan’s requests for military aid, the Office of the National Security Adviser said.
