Afghan foreign minisry officials on announced to file complain in UN Security Council against the cross-border incursion by Pakistani military in eastern regions of Afghanistan.
According to Afghan officials hundreds of missiles and heavy shells have been fired into eastern Kunar and Nuristan provices of Afghanistan during the past 1 year which caused casualties and damages to local residents in this proivnce.
A spokesman for the Afghan foreign ministry Faramarz Taman said Afghan foreign minister Zalmai Rassoul is due to share the issue with the UN Security Council.
Mr. Faramarz further added the motive behind the complain to UN Security Council is to attract the attention of the Security Council members into cross-border incursion by Pakistani military.
He said, “Deep concerns of Afghanistan has been pointed out in the speech of Afghan Foreign Minister which also reflects the negative impact over the bilateral relations of the two nations if the cross-border incursions continues.”
He also said the cross-border incursion by Pakistan will further boost insurgency in eastern regions of Afghanistan.
Local officials said a number of Afghan civilians have been killed or injured following the cross-border incursion by Pakistan in eastern Afghanistan.
The officials also said several Afghan families have left their homes however Pakistani officials said that only militants inside the Pakistani soil have been targeted and only a number of missiles have mistakenly crossed the border.
Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesman Faramarz Tamana also said Afghan, Pakistani and British officials are also due to meet in UN Security Council session which is due to be held on 26 of September.
