The Afghanistan Cricket Board suspended Aftab Alam from domestic and international cricket for a period of one year.

According to a statement released by Afghanistan Cricket Board, the Discipline Committee suspended fast bowler Aftab Alam for a period of one year.

The statement further added that the Discipline Committee members found Alam guilty of violating disciplinary code of conduct during the recent matches in ICC Cricket World Cup.

Furthermore, the Afghanistan Cricket Board said the Discipline Committee took the decision after launching a thorough investigation into the accusations leveled against Alam.

Meanwhile, the Board of Cricket said it has also suspended the contract of Alam for a period of one year.
