Afghanistan summons Pakistan’s chargé d’affaires over cross-border incursion

foriegn-ministry-kabulThe ministry of foreign affairs of Afghanistan summoned chargé d’affaires in Pakistan embassy on Monday.

Foreign ministry said in a statement the Pakistan’s chargé d’affaires was summoned based on the instruction of foreign minister over cross-border incursions.

The statement further added that Moazzam Shah, the counselor and chargé d’affaires of Pakistan embassy was summoned to brief the Afghan officials regarding growing cross-border incursion from the other side of Durand Line.

Abdul Samad Samad, the political chief in the ministry of foreign affairs of Afghanistan conveyed the concerns of the Afghan government regarding the coordinated and systematic cross-border incursion on Afghan border police check posts to Pakistan’s chargé d’affaires, the statement said.

Mr. Samad also urged for immediate halt to cross-border incursions and said such attacks on Afghan border police check posts are against the international principles.

He also handed over a brief report together with the evidences regarding the cross-border incursion to Pakistan’s chargé d’affaires, foreign affairs ministry added in its statement.

Pakistan’s chargé d’affaires promised to convey the protest of the Afghan government to Pakistani officials.
