Afghanistan shines in T20 World Cup; Blue Tigers top in bowling and batting

After the Afghanistan national cricket team’s second victory in the T20 World Cup against New Zealand, Fazalhaq Farooqi in bowling and Rahmanullah Gurbaz in batting secured top positions in this round of the competition.

The match between the Afghanistan national cricket team and the New Zealand national team ended in favor of Afghanistan on Saturday, June 8.

In this match, the Afghanistan national cricket team started batting first and scored 159 runs in 20 overs with the loss of six players.

In response, the New Zealand national team failed to reach the set target in 15 overs and was defeated by Afghanistan by 80 runs.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the national team’s batsman, shone in the match against New Zealand and was named the best player of the game.

He registered 80 runs in 56 balls for Afghanistan.

Rashid Khan, the captain of the Afghanistan national team, and Fazalhaq Farooqi, the fast bowler, each took four wickets, and Mohammad Nabi also took two wickets.

Fazalhaq Farooqi played against New Zealand and dismissed four of the opposing team’s players for 17 runs in 3.2 overs.

Previously, Afghanistan also defeated the Uganda national team in the T20 World Cup competition by a margin of 125 runs.
