Afghanistan secured the second position in World Snooker Masters Championship which was organized by International Billiard and Snooker Federation (IFBS).
Afghanistan’s Saleh Mohammad faced Darren Morgan of Wales after defeating his rival in the semi-final of the championship but lost the final game.
Saleh Mohammad had faced Thailand’s Suckakree Poomajang during the semi-final of the championship on Monday with a difference of 5-4.
The IBSF World Snooker Masters Championship kicked off from 12th November in Myanmar and continued until yesterday, the 27th of November.
Around 149 athletes had participated in the championship from 32 countries.
Afghanistan’s Saleh Mohammad had earlier defeated his rivals from Australia, India, Japan, Austria, Mongolia, Qatar, and Myanmar during the group matches.
Saleh Mohammad had also won medals during the similar championships in 2013 and 2015.
