Ministry of Public Health reported Monday, that out of 523 samples, 87 cases have turned positive in the last 24 hours.

At least 117,674 people have so far been tested in the governmental labs, and there still are 5,030 known active cases in the country.

According to the ministry, within 24 hours, 146 individuals have Recovered from COVID-19, and Five individuals are reported dead.

The new cases recorded in Kabul are 11, Herat 25, Ghazni 11 ,Bamiyan 14, Daikundi 17, Parwan Three, Nangarhar One, Nimroz One, and Maidan Wardak One.

The total number of cases in Afghanistan is 40,287, Total deaths are 1,497 and the total recoveries are recorded 33,760.

COVID-19 global toll has increased to 40,063,546 and the dead are reported to more than 1,113,909 according to John Hopkins’ global dashboard.

Experts believe the real numbers of both cases and deaths are likely much higher, due to deficiencies in testing and potential under reports by some countries.
