Ministry of Public Health reported Wednesday, that out of 2,109 samples, 84 cases have turned positive in the last 24 hours.

At least 219,861 people have so far been tested in the governmental labs, and there still are 8,049 known active cases in the country.

According to the ministry, within 24 hours, 199 individuals have Recovered from COVID-19, and Six individuals are reported dead.

The new cases recorded in Kabul are 13, Herat 17, Kandahar Five, Balkh Two, Takhar 11, Paktia 11, Kunduz Three, Parwan One, Nimruz One, Badakhshan One, Logar One, Helmand Three, Laghman Two, Khost Eight, Paktika Two and Faryab Eight.

The total number of cases in Afghanistan is 53,774, Total deaths are 2,314 and the total recoveries are recorded  44,810.

COVID-19 global toll has increased to 91,691,962 and the dead are reported to more than 1,964,571 according to Johns Hopkins’ global dashboard.
