Ministry of Public Health reported Thursday, that out of 1,278 samples, 226 cases have turned positive in the last 24 hours.

At least 144,617 people have so far been tested in the governmental labs, and there still are 7,488 known active cases in the country.

According to the ministry, within 24 hours, 87 individuals have Recovered from COVID-19, and Nine individuals are reported dead.

The new cases recorded in Kabul are 59, Kandahar 48, Herat 32, Balkh 21, Nangarhar 23, Paktia 21, Parwan 13, Nimruz Two, Logar Two, Maidan Wardak One, Laghman Two, Zabul One and Nuristan One.

The total number of cases in Afghanistan is 45,716, Total deaths are 1,737 and the total recoveries are recorded 36,232.

COVID-19 global toll has increased to 60,465,801 and the dead are reported to more than 1,422,510 according to Johns Hopkins’ global dashboard.
