A statement released by the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) states that the hotel booked for Afghan players is not suitable due to which AFF has decided to book another hotel with its own budget and support from Alakozay Group.
The press release further states that Afghan players also faced difficulties while obtaining visas to participate in the championship.
More than that, Tolo news reported that the Indian side played two work-out matches in the main playground but Afghan team was not allowed to play one that was expected.
Afghanistan had defeated India during the final match of the SAFF Championship 2013 to win the title, which AFF believes is the reason behind the trouble. According to AFF, Indian football team is looking at Afghanistan football team as the main rival.
However, Secretary General of AFF Sayed Ali Raza Aqazada is expected to visit India and talk to Indian officials to resolve the issues before the championship starts.
