The Afghanistan Cricket team defeated West Indies by 29 runs during a warm-up match of of the ICC World Cup Qualifiers.

West Indies won the toss and elected to field first allowing the Afghan team to bat.

Afghanistan scored 163 runs by losing 9 wickets from 35 overs with the low order batsmen performing well after the top order and middle order batsmen collapsed early.

Samiullah Shenwari scored 42 runs with 48 runs which are highest scores on the batting side.

Howevr the West Indies batsmen could not chase the given target and lost all their wickets by scoring 110 runs only.

It was Dawlat Zadran who took 4 wickets along Rashid Khan and Sharafuddin Ashraf taking 2 wickets each to restrict the West Indies Batsmen to 110 only.

Mohammad Nabi and Shah Zadran also took one wicket each on the bowling side.

The overs of the game were reduced to 35 using the DuckwothLewis method after the match was interrupted by the rain.
