Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 25 runs during the 3rd match of the Twenty20 Tri-Series in Dhaka earlier tonight.

The Afghan team set a target of 165 runs for Bangladesh after winning the toss and electing to bat first.

Mohammad Nabi and Asghar Afghan made huge contribution after the Afghan team lost its opening and top order batsmen in the initial overs of the game.

Nabi remained not out after scoring 84 runs from 54 balls and Asghar Afghan scored 40 runs from 37 balls.

On the batting side, Mujeeb Ur Rahman took 4 wickets in 4 overs. Fareed Ahmad, Rashid Khan and Gulbadin Naib each took 2 wickets to restrict the Bangladesh batsmen chase the given target.

Bangladesh lost all their wickets after scoring 139 runs from 19.5 overs. Mohammad Nabi received the Player of the Match Award for his outstanding batting performance.

The Twenty20 Tri-Series between Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe kicked off in Bangladesh on 13th of September.

Bangladesh has secured 2 victory against Zimbabwe while Afghanistan has won both matches against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh since the start of the series.
