Afghanistan cricket schedule for World Cup, first match against Bangladesh

Afghanistan cricketThe Afghanistan national cricket team will face Bangladesh in its opening match of the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup 2015.

Afghanistan will make its maiden appearance at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, which will be held between 14 February and 29 March.

The opening match against Bangladesh is scheduled to be played at Manuka Oval, Canberra on 18th February.

Afghanistan will face Sri Lank on 22nd February, scotland on 26th, Australia on 4th March, New Zealand on 8th March, and England on 13th March.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Monday announced the national team squad for the 2015 International Cricket Council (ICC) world cup.

ACB official said the 15-member national squad was finalized after considering the players recent performances, abilities, and other technical aspects.

The officials further added that the players will participate in matches against the Scotland and Ireland in United Arab Emirates, which would be organized ahead of the ICC world cup.

The Afghan cricket coach Andy Moles said the final list of the players for the 2015 world cup was finalized following series of negotiations and assessments.
