
After a crushing victory over Scotland in the beginning of the campaign, Afghanistan were beaten by Pakistan. Following an amazing team performance, the blue tigers defeated Namibia by 62 runs in Abu Dhabi.
The experienced Asghar Afghan, former captain, announced his retirement and played his last game against losing side.
Mohammad Nabi won the toss and elected to bat first. The batting side sat a target of 162 at the end of 20 overs losing only 5 wickets.
Afghanistan bowled well and finished the game only giving 98 runs getting 9 wickets.
This is Afghanistan’s second win in T20 world cup. Behind Pakistan the country sat second in the table with 4 points.
Afghanistan will play India on Wednesday, 3 November at Zayed Cricket Stadium.
