The Afghanistan-born Veteran Bollywood actor Kader Khan has died at the age of 81 after he was admitted to a hospital in Canada, it has been reported.

According to reports, the actor was suffering from progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) and had been admitted in a hospital in Canada after complaining of breathlessness where he was put on a BiPAP ventilator.

He had also undergone surgeries for his kneeds in 2017 and had been living with his son and daughter-in-law for the last few years in Canada.

This comes as conflicting reports reports have been emerging regarding the death of the actor for the past few days.

Earlier on Friday, actor Amitabh Bachchan shared wishes for his good health on Twitter.

Khan was born in Kabul, Afghanistan on October 22 and is best known for his work as an actor and a writer in several films, according to Hindustan Times. 

He has been part of numerous blockbusters including Khoon Bhari Maang, Biwi Ho To Aisi, Bol Radha Bol, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Judwaa, Dulhe Raja and Haseena Maan Jayegi. He was last seen in 2015 in Ho Gaya Deemag Ka Dahi.
