Afghanistan beat Scotland in one-day World Cup qualifier

Afghanistan beat scotlandThe Afghanistan national cricket team on Wednesday won the first one-day World Cup qualification match against the Scotland in Sharjah.

Nawroz Mangal’s unbeaten 112 runs led Afghanistan team to successfully chase the target and Scotland suffered a seven-wichet defeat by Afghanistan.

Scotland scored 199 runs by losing eight wickets with Richie Berrington top-scoring on 51 however the Afghan team managed to control the game after Navroz Mangal hit six imprssive sixes.

Afghanistn cricket team has nine points while Scotland remains second in the behind Ireland having 11 pionts, and Netherlands along with UAE have a gain in hand are just one point behind.

Afghanistan’s Samullah Shinwari remained not out after scoring 55 runs supporting the explosive hitting of opener Navroz Mangal and the two teams are once again going to have another match on Friday.
