Afghan vote auditThe presidential vote audit was temporarily halted on Wednesday following reports of physical clashes among the observers of the presidential candidates.

clashes reportedly broke out due to the disputes over vote recount and invalidation process in one of the warehouses belonging to Independent Election Commission (IEC).

According to reports, at least two people who are believed to be observers of the presidential candidates, were injured following the brawl.

In the meantime, officials of Dr. Abdullah and Dr. Ashraf Ghani camps have said that the clashes broke out after irresponsible people interfered in vote audit process.

The audit process was resumed shortly after the technical teams of the two camps interfered to resolve the issue, the officials said.
