Afghan vice president Karim Khalili accused of electoral fraud involvement

Karim KhaliliThe second Afghan vice president Mohammad Karim Khalili was accused of being involved in electoral fraud by Dr. Abdullah Abdullah’s team.

The Reform and Partnership team led by Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, released an audio tape as an evidence regarding involvement of Khalili in electoral fraud.

Abdullah’s team claimed that Khalili has assured that the international allies of Afghanistan is committed to use all options for the victory of a specific team in presidential election.

Nasrullah Baryalai Arsalaye, head of Dr. Abdullah’s campaign team, said the main motive behind the release of audio tape was to reveal the involvement of election commission in electoral fraud in favor of a specific candidate.

Arsalaye did not disclose further information regarding the source of the audio tape. However, he insisted that they are prepared to verify the authenticity of the audio tape.
