Afghan Taliban support Pakistan TalibanThe Pakistani Taliban group – Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Sunday announced that they are receiving financial support from the Taliban group in Afghanistan.

A TTP spokesman, Shahidullah Shahid on Sunday confirmed the cooperation between the two Taliban groups in an interview with the reporters in Waziristan tribal region.

Shahidullah Shahid quoted by Associated Press said, “The Afghan Taliban are our jihadi brothers.”

Shahid further added, “In the beginning, we were helping them, but now they are strong enough and they don’t need our help, but they are now supporting us financially.”

He also added that Taliban group in Afghanistan are providing sanctuary for a prominent TTP commander, Mullah Fazlullah in eastern Afghanistan, after he was driven out of Swat VAlley following a military operation.

The Pakistani Taliban spokesman also insisted for an immediate end to US drone strikes and release of all Taliban inmates in a bid to proceed peace talks with the Pakistani government.
