The Afghan Special Forces rescued 15 people from a Taliban prison during an operation in northern Kunduz province.

The Special Operations Corps said the Special Forces conducted the raid in Imam Sahib district late on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, the military officials said the operation demonstrated the Afghan Special Security Force’s (ASSF) commitment to the people of Afghanistan.

The officials further added “The Taliban continue to abduct Afghan civilians and ANDSF for payment in order to fuel their offensive operations against the Afghan people.”

The Taliban group has not commented in this regard so far.
