
The Afghan Special Forces and Air Forces have conducted multiple raids against Taliban militants in South-eastern Ghazni province of Afghanistan leaving at least killing 8 Taliban fighters, the military sources said Tuesday.
According to informed military sources, in a raid to deny Taliban offensive operations against Ghazni City, the Afghan special forces detained 2 Taliban fighters and destroyed 3 Taliban vehicles, explosives and Taliban propaganda.
The sources further added that the Afghan special forces conducted a presence patrol near Shalez, Arzo and Rozikala Villages, killing 3 Taliban fighters and wounding 4.
An airstrike was also carried out in Ghazni district during the same period leaving 1 Taliban fighter dead, the sources said, adding that three similar strikes were carried out in Now Bahar district in which 4 Taliban fighters were killed and another one was wounded.
The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the operations so far.
