According to local authorities in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan, at least three Slovak troops were injured following an insider attack by an Afghan security service member in this province.
Commander of the army combat aviation brigade in Kandahar province Gen. Abdul Razaq Sherzai confirming the report said an Afghan soldier belonging to air force brigade opened fire on Slovak troops, injuring at least three of them.
Gen. Sherzai further added the assailant soldier was arrested by Afghan national army sodliers and is in custody for investigation.
He said the incident took place while a group of the Slovak soldiers were crossing the area.
In the meantime provincial governor spokesman Javid Faisal said at least three American soldiers were following an insider attack in Kandahar airfield.
He said the incident took place on Tuesday morning following a verbal clash.
