Afghan railway delegation embarks on Iran visit for talks

The Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) announced on Monday that its General Director, Bakht-ur-Rahman Sharafat, along with his accompanying delegation, has embarked on Tehran’s visit.

Afghanistan Railway Authority says that Sharafat will hold talks with Iranian railway officials. The discussions will cover the Khaf-Herat railway line, launching short-term technical training for ARA employees, and enhancing bilateral railway cooperation.

These talks, facilitated by the Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA), will encompass operational aspects, potential improvements, and enhanced cooperation between the two countries’ railway networks.

Additionally, the agenda includes introducing concise technical training courses for ARA staff to bolster their expertise and efficiency within the railway domain.

This collaborative effort seeks to enhance connectivity and knowledge exchange between Afghanistan and Iran’s railway sectors, contributing to improved regional transportation networks and infrastructure.

During his visit, Sharafat from the Afghanistan Railway Authority will engage with Iranian officials to bolster bilateral railway cooperation and discuss various matters of mutual interest.
