Afghan police officers killed and injured in Uruzgan province

According to local authorities in southern Uruzgan province, at least 3 Afghan police service members were killed and injured following a roadside bomb explosion in this province.

The officials further added, the incident took place in the central city of Tarinkowt.

A spokesman for provincial police commandment Farid Ayel confirming the report said, the incident took place at Spilandi area in the central city of Tarinkowt after an Afghan Police vehicle struck with a roadside bomb.

Mr. Ayel further added, at least 1 Afghan police officer was killed and 2 others were injured.

The injured police officers were taken to the hospital and are under treatment and are in good health condition.

No group including the Taliban militants have so far claimed responsibility behind the incident. Taliban militants group frequently use improvised explosive device as the weapon of their choice to target Afghan and coalition security forces.
