Austrian police have detained a 27-year-old Afghan man accused of murdering three women in a brothel located in Vienna, the country’s capital, on Friday.

According to BBC News, the victims were fatally stabbed, and law enforcement apprehended the suspect near the brothel, where he was discovered concealing a knife.

As of now, the motive behind the tragic killings remains uncertain, but authorities have initiated an interrogation process with the suspect to gather more information.

In a separate and unrelated incident within a 24-hour timeframe in Vienna, another woman and her daughter lost their lives. Investigators suspect the father of the girl to be the perpetrator behind this incident.

The shocking occurrences have left the residents of Vienna in dismay, as the community grapples with the sorrowful aftermath of these brutal crimes.

The Austrian authorities are actively investigating both incidents, aiming to unravel the circumstances surrounding these incidents and bring justice to the victims and their families.

These distressing incidents underscore the importance of ongoing efforts to address violence against women and children, as well as the critical role of law enforcement in ensuring the safety and security of all individuals within the society.
