At the same time, as Afghan refugees are being pushed out of Pakistan, many Afghan people are worried about what will happen to them and being made to return to Afghanistan.

Murtaza Solangi, Pakistan’s Ministry of Information spokesperson, told the media that most illegal immigrants in Pakistan are Afghan migrants. However, not only Pakistan but no country allows illegal immigrants to live freely within its borders.

Pakistan has announced that approximately 1.7 million Afghan refugees who entered Pakistan without legal documents must return to their country by the end of October.

One Afghan immigrant, who prefers not to disclose their name, told Khaama Press News Agency, “My family and I entered Pakistan legally, but to travel to a third country, our passports are with the embassy. Nevertheless, we still cannot move freely because the risk of our detention persists.”

On the other hand, many Afghan women and girls who illegally entered Pakistan after the ban on education and schooling are worried about being deprived of education once again.

The hasty decision to deport undocumented immigrants from Pakistan to Afghanistan has triggered national and international reactions. International organizations have repeatedly requested Pakistan to revoke this decision, but the Pakistani government has stated that it will not make any deals against its national interests.

In his latest statement, Richard Bennett, the Special Rapporteur for Afghanistan of the United Nations, urged the Pakistani government to continue protecting Afghan refugees, warning that their expulsion would result in severe human rights violations.

The Pakistani government announced on October 3rd that all illegal migrants must leave Pakistan, declaring November 1st the deadline to exit illegal immigrants.
