Afghan man develope dronesAn Afghan engineer has developed different types of unmanned aerial vehicle – drone and another aircraft which can be flown by a pilot.

The aircrafts developed by Engineer Zmarai Helali are operated with fuel and electricity energy, and have been made by ordinary elements such as wood, clothes and electrical devices.

Eng. Helali says he was interested in aviation since he was a child and was motivated by his father who was a pilot in Ariana Afghan Airlines.

A documentary published online on social media websites shows the practical flight of the drones which are operated with remote controls.

The drones are also equipped with cameras which can be used for surveillance purposes. The development work of the drones and the aircraft started around seven years ago.

According Eng. Helali, one of the drones carry up to 80 kg of loads which can be used to spray medcines on agricultural fields.

Eng. Helali says he expects the drones are further developed and can be used in a positive way.

A teenager Afghan boy had also developed a small robotic excavator in a similar innovation which was demonstrated in ARG presidential palace in the presence of President Hamid Karzai.

The teenager boy, Zainullah Niazi, is 6th grade student in Surkhabad high school in central Logar province of Afghanistan.
