The Central Industrial Force (CISF) personnel of India arrested an Afghan national on charges of carrying $14,000 in an ‘unauthorized’ manner while attempting to travel to Kabul from New Delhi.

The Indian security officials have said the CISF personnel arrested Bakhtyari Waheedullah from Inhira Gandhi International Airport at 5:30 am local time on Saturday, according to local media reports.

The officials further added that the man was about to board a SpiceJet flight to Kabul when CISF personnel intercepted him and confiscated $14,000 which he was in his possession in an ‘unauthorized’ manner.

The CISF personnel handed over the man to Customs officials after he failed to produce any document for carrying the relatively large amount of foreign currency, the officials added.
