Afghanistan Ministry of Higher Education and Ministry of Education have decided to resume in-person classes in private and governmental schools and universities.

The ministry of Higher education in its meeting today announced to resume in-person classes in the universities of 11 provinces of the country.

The eleven provinces include Kabul, Kandahar, Panjsher, Kunduz, Nimroz, Daikundi, Balkh, Badghis, Noristan, Samangan, and Jawzjan. Percentage of corona virus positive cases is less than 35 in these provinces.

The classes are to be resumed on August the 6th.

Students in all the above-mentioned provinces are required to be fully vaccinated against the Pandemic and abide by all the COVID precautionary measures including wearing masks and social distancing.

Rest the provinces are still battling with the higher rate of corona virus positive cases and will not be allowed to resume their in-person classes until the percentage of positive cases plunges to below 35.

Students in these provinces are too required to fully vaccinate themselves and wait for the given percentage of positive cases of coronavirus in their respective provinces.

Earlier, the ministry of education had announced to resume in-person classes in schools this week. The reopening is aimed at giving the students mid-term examinations and further reopening will be decided based on positive cases in the country.
