The Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) have take full control of Dand-e-Ghori district from Taliban militants following weeks of clearance operations.
According to local government officials, the control of the district completely fell to Afghan forces after a major offensive was launched late last night.

The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the report so far.
The Afghan forces launched clearance operations against the Taliban militants in Dand-e-Ghori district late in the month of January.
The operations were launched amid concerns that the group was creating safe havens and preparing for the summer offensive by continuing to the procurement and training of insurgents.
Several power lines were also damaged as the operations kicked off, cutting the power supply to capital Kabul for several weeks before the technical staff managed to reconnect the lines.
Congrats to the Afghan Forces. A map would have made it easier to understand.
