The Afghan forces have seized up to 100 weapons of various during separate operations which were conducted in different parts of Kabul city.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the Counter-Narcotics Police Forces seized 39 pistols and some munitions during in Pul-e-Charkhi area of the city.

The statement further added that the pistols and munitions were loaded in a vehicle and were being transported to Kabul but the police forces managed to stop the vehicle and confiscate the weapons in Pul-e-Charkhi entrance gate.

At least two people have been arrested in connection to the transportation of weapons and are in police custody for further investigations, the Ministry of Interior said.

The Ministry of Interior in a separate statement said the intelligence and Special Forces of police conducted an operation against a weapons cache in Asia Bini area of the city in the 13th police district of the city and confiscated 55 weapons including 15 Ak-47s, a Ak-74, and 39 pistols.
