Afghan forces ordered to retaliate against Pak forces provocative moves

Afghan border police forcesThe Afghan national security forces were ordered to retaliate against any provocative move by Pakistani forces and militia across Durand Line.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said Sunday that the border protection forces were instructed to immediately respond against any provocative move by Pakistan forces in across the Durand Line.

Afghanistan also rejected Pakistani claims that terrorists had crossed to Pakistan from Afghanistan and called the allegations as baseless.

MoI said Pakistani militia forces suffered casualties after local residents of Shak Kalai, located on the other side of Durand Line, started clash with Pakistani forces while they were digging ditches.

According to Interior Ministry, Shak Kalai is located on the bordering region with Maruf district of southern Kandahar province.

This comes as the Pakistani forces started shelling Maruf district of southern Kandahar province on Friday and continued to cross-border shelling until Saturday.
