The Afghan security forces foiled militants bid to detonate a remote-controlled bomb in Kabul, the interior ministry said.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the police forces discovered and defused the bomb in Shakar Dara district.

The statement further added that the militants had planted the bomb in Chashma-e-Dosh area of the district.

Furthermore, the interior ministry said the police forces of Shakar Dara discovered and defused the bomb before the militants manage to detonate it.

The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented in this regard so far.
