The Afghan forces conducted 103 Joint and Special Operations against the militant groups in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Defense in a statement said the security forces conducted 12 joint and 91 special operations to suppress the militant groups.

Furthermore, the Afghan Air Force conducted 27 airstrikes to support the ground forces during the operations.

The statement further added that the security forces conducted the operations in Uruzgan, Ghazni, Zabul, Helmand, Farah, Herat, Paktiya, Logar, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Faryab, Balkh, Sar-e-Pul, Takhar and Kunduz provinces.

Meanwhile, the defense ministry said the security forces killed 56 militants and wounded 25 others during the same operations.

The security forces also arrested 5 suspected militants during the operations, the Ministry of Defense added.

The Ministry of Defense also added that the coalition forces also provided support to the Afghan security forces during the operations.

The anti-government armed elements have not commented regarding the operations so far.
