The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that the Afghan forces have concluded their clearance operation in the ministry of telecommunications and information technology which was attacked by a group of suicide bombers at noon time today.

Interior ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi said some explosives seized during the operation will be detonated.

He did not disclose further information regarding the attack but added that full details of the operation will be shared soon.

In the meantime, officials in the ministry of public health have confirmed that the dead bodies of two people have been shifted to the hospitals along with six others who had sustained injures.

In the meantime, the Ministry of Interior in a statement said four civilians and three security personnel lost their lives in the attack and eight other sustained injuries.

The statement further added that four militants involved in the attack were also killed during the clash with the security forces.
