Afghanistan Central Bank-Da Afghanistan Bank- reacted to the decision of the US president Joe Biden over allocating $3.5 billion of Afghanistan’s assets to the victim of 9/11 and called the decision “unjust”.

DAB in a statement on Saturday, February 12, 2022, said that they will never accept the allocation and provision of Afghanistan’s funds to other people under the name of compensation or humanitarian aid.

US president Joe Biden on Friday signed an executive order based on which $3.5 billion were unfrozen for humanitarian purposes in Afghanistan and the same amount was decided to be kept until the federal courts make a decision about the litigation of the victims of 9/11.

The press release of DAB reads that the money belongs to the people of Afghanistan and has never been used by any Afghan government or any political fraction.

DAB further added that part of the fund has been invested in the United States so that it be used for specific purposes of the Bank.
