19 Taliban militants have been killed an attack conducted by Afghan air force in northern Kundoz province.
The attack occurs amid heavy clashes between security forces and Taliban in parts of the troubled province.
Abdul Saboor Nasrati, police chief of Kundoz said that the air assault took place in Char Dara District last night.
He added the air assault left 19 militants including five foreigners killed. Eight other insurgents were also wounded in the air strike.
Earlier Char Dara District had fallen into the hands of Taliban but after severe clashes Afghan forces retook the control of it.
On Thursday Lieutenant General Murad Ali Murad the Deputy Chief of Staff announced that Char Dara District has been taken back from Taliban but a military operation is still ongoing to clear the area from militants.
After Char Dara District Taliban attacked Dasht-i-Arche District of Kundoz province and occupied it but security forces have been hassling to push back Taliban from this district too.
