Afghanistan vote audit resumesThe Afghanistan presidential vote audit officially resumed on Saturday after almost seven hours delay.

Independent Election Commission (IEC) official said Saturday that the audit process was due to start early Sunday morning.

However, the audit work was delayed due to the absence of Dr. Abdullah Abdullah’s observers.

IEC spokesman, Noor Mohammad Noor, urged the observers of Dr. Abdullah Abdullah’s electoral team to participate in the audit process.

Noor further added that 87 percent of the ballot boxes have been transferred to capital Kabul for the audit purposes, and the remaining ballot boxes will be transferred in the coming days.
