Security officials deployed additional commandos in Ghazni province to assist security forces stationed in the city, according to provincial press office

A press statement released by the provincial press office said upon the order of the Ministry of Defense, new commandos arrived in Ghazni and are positioned in area where clashes are ongoing between the Afghan forces and Taliban insurgents.

It is stated the commando have been stationed in Arezu area of Andar district, moving into the area after some security checkpoints were under the siege of the Taliban for two weeks.

Previously, a checkpoint came under the siege of the Taliban, where a national security soldier lost his life in the frontline due to dehydration and starvation and five others were captured.

Meanwhile, the Taliban attacked Tamaki Bazar in Qarabagh, with reports suggesting the area is now under the control of the Taliban insurgency.
